Xiaomi Mobile Company has already launched several new smartphones in the market through their M11 series. Xiaomi has garnered worldwide acclaim for its mid-range smartphones. With each new model, they bring something new and the same goes for the new M11 lineup. The M11 Lite 5G is the Slickest-looking phone.
Xiaomi is positioning this as a light & loaded smartphone. The smartphone is extremely light with just 159 grams of weight and powered by the best mid-range processor from snapdragon, the 780G.
The new fresh colors and sleek design make it a real contender in the Mid-range section. Earlier Xiaomi released the Mi 11 lite model without 5G but this time they not only added the 5G capability but also change some internals as well.
Mi 11 Lite 5G is the successor of their high-end flagship model Mi 11. Basically, nowadays it’s the trend to launch a couple of versions of the same model, and personally, I personally liked this approach because it creates more option’s to choose from.
Without paying the premium price we get really premium features with the new Mi 11 Lite 5G phone. New great quality lenses, immersive screen, powerful processor, good battery life, and supports for most 5G bands make it a real value for money phone.

The Design and Build Quality:
The Mi 11 Lite 5G is one of the slimmest phones and the thickness is only 6.81 mm which is great. On top of that, we have a Glass body design but this time Xiaomi goes for the matte finish and I have to say the new colors with matte finish look cool and give the phone a more trendy look.
They have used the Corning Gorilla Glass 6 to make it more sturdy and shockproof. The matte finish here is silky smooth and the phone is super light just weight 159 Gram.
You won’t even feel like this phone is in your pocket. The size of the phone is decently big but still, it is lightweight so that’s nice.
The phone has some unique colors and Xiaomi named them well. Truffle Black, Mint Green, and Citrus Yellow are the clour options available here.
On the bottom side, You have a sim card tray, microphone, Type C port, and speaker grill but the 3.5 mm jack is missing here. On the right-hand side – You have the power on/off button that doubles up as the side-mounted fingerprint scanner and volume buttons.
We have nothing on the left-hand side and on the top, there is an IR blaster to control your smart devices, and comes with most mi phones and A noise-canceling microphone. The sim card supports two nano sims or one sim and one SD card.
On the front, we have a 6.55 inch 1080X2400 pixels 90 Hz Amoled screen which is bright and under sunlight, all the screen content is very much visible. The screen-to-body ratio is 85.3% and the display has a 402 PPI pixel density.
So overall the screen is very good for media consumption and the 240 Hz touch sampling rate gives you a smooth experience when you scroll or swipe something.
It has 10-bit color so it supports more than a billion colors and the screen supports up to 800 nits of brightness. The side bezels & chin are really small.
There are also HDR 10+ support so you are able to enjoy all the Online streaming platform In Full HD quality.
The Cameras:
On the camera section, there is a triple camera setup at the back, a 64 MP f/1.8 26 mm wide lens, an 8 MP, f/2.2, 119˚ ultrawide sensor, and a 5 MP f/2.4 tele+macro camera with autofocus.
The main camera captures 16 mp photos by default and captures some great photos for this class. Most of the photos are well captured with punchy colors. The white balance and sharpness level are appropriate and the photos came up with low noise and a natural-looking dynamic range.
If you have enough light portraits look good with plenty of detail and nice colors and the edge detection does a decent job though it isn’t always on point time.
The 8-megapixel photos from the ultrawide camera are decent for the class with good contrast and a wide dynamic range. Close-up shots taken with the Tele macro camera are pretty good, you get nice contrast and great looking colors and on top of that, you get the autofocus option.
The low light photos are coming up really well and you have the auto night mode to capture night images. The main camera captures way more light and the edge detection is good as per my testing. Overall the images look very good with balanced exposure true to life colors and low noise.
The dedicated night mode takes about two to three-second exposures but in the end, gives you brighter images with much lower noise and better-defined details.
The Ultrawide camera suffers at the night and you get more noise and the details are pretty less if you compare with the main camera.
And on the front, we have a punch-hole camera residing in the middle. It’s a 20 MP f/2.2 lens and captures a wide area in a single frame.
The selfies camera performs great and captures some well-balanced and natural-looking selfies with good details and dynamic range.
In the Video section, the rear camera has Electronic Image Stabilization and captures 4K @ 30 FPS videos. The video quality is excellent with tons of details, spot-on sharpness, and low noise. Ultrawide camera and front camera record 1080p videos.
Here are some shots that were taken by Mi 11 Lite 5G…
Performance and Capacity:

Here is a big change over the old Mi 11 light model, the new Mi 11 Lite 5G comes with a brand new snapdragon 780G processor. It’s far better to compare to the older Snapdragon 732G found in non-5 G models.
The 780G is a 64-bit octa-core processor bundled with one 2.4 GHz Kyro core, three 2.2 GHz Kyro 670 cores and four low clocked 1.90 GHz Kyro 670 cores. The GPU is Adreno 642 and X53 5G modem supports the most number of 5G bands.
The new 5 nm chipset is one of the best in very power efficiency and delivers a fast and responsive performance every time. New Artificial intelligence (AI) capability and multiple 5G band support make all the difference here.
The Qualcomm AI Engine makes every activity smarter and more intuitive. Plus, the 2nd gen Qualcomm® Sensing Hub includes a dedicated voice and audio AI accelerator for always-on, low power AI assistance.
On the gaming side, the chipset performs exceptionally well. The new Qualcomm® Snapdragon Elite Gaming™ features are designed to crush the competition, the new boosted Qualcomm® Kryo™ 670 CPU offers up to 40% performance uplift. So you can play high-end games without any lag or frame drop.
On paper, it really looks similar to what you’d find in a 2019 flagship, in our CPU tests the mi 11 lite 5g tops the mid-range charts even besting the likes of the Poco x3 pro with the snapdragon 860, and in GPU the performance is little low but easily handles any graphics-intensive tasks.

The new 780G handle anything effortlessly no matter what you can throw at it and we didn’t notice any thermal throttling in our testing either.
On the storage section, we have a 6 Gb RAM and 128 GB onboard storage model and an 8GB RAM and 128 GB model. Xiaomi uses the LPDDR4 RAM for faster access and the storage is UFS 2.2 which is a bit slower compared to UFS 3.1 but as a normal user, you aren’t able to notice that.
Battery and Fast Charging:
Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G is powered with a 4250 milliampere battery and considering the slim form factor, it’s a great inclusion. Even though this is smaller than what you’d find in many other mid-rangers but the battery life is still great.
The custom MIUI software added some tweaks and that helps the battery to last longer the 5nm processor is very energy efficient so all in all, you expect good battery life.
If you’re taking lots of pictures and videos, playing heavy games, watch online movies then you have to charge the battery frequently but for normal and casual users it’s last a day with 10 to 15% juice remaining.
As per my testing, the battery drains much faster when I played games and record videos continuously. The large vibrant display, 90 Hz refresh rate, and Always-on display are the primary reason for battery draining and when you turn them off you get better backup.
Ok on the charging section we have good news, the phone supports a 33 Watt fast-changing and Xiaomi included a 33-watt charger in the Box. Although the charging speed isn’t incredible but still pretty fast and we were able to charge the phone from zero to 58 percent in half an hour.
The Custom Made MIUI 12:

If you used a Mi or Redmi phone then you are probably familiar with their custom skin over android. Almost all the Xiaomi phones are looks the same when we talked about the interface.
The Xiaomi Mi 11 lite 5G runs Google’s Android 11 software with Xiaomi’s MIUI 12 software laid over the top. MiUI is a mixture of both good and bad things.
In terms of customization, the Ui is very good and looks really cool with some custom animations but they are overloaded with lots of adware and bloatware. Although after the negative feedback some of them are gone but still the UI makes the OS heavier and if you’re a stock android user then you maybe don’t like it.
Thankfully, there’s far less bloatware on the Xiaomi Mi 11 lite 5G than the Redmi series, but still, there are some third-party apps we found ourselves swiftly exorcising.
Beyond the bloatware, MIUI is actually a great Android overlay, bringing plenty of customization options, some of which other phones don’t have. There are a few Live Wallpaper (animated backgrounds), widgets, menu transition effects, different home screen app layouts, various always-on display designs, changes to the quick settings menu, and lots more.
When first time you set up the Mi 11 Lite 5G you have all the personalization to choose from. We’ve included some screenshots of the home menu below, to give you a feel for how the interface looks.

Some other wonderful features:
- The side-mounted fingerprint sensor also acts as a power on/off button and unlocks the phone in a flash, It’s very quick and accurate at the same time.
- The 10-Bit AMOLED Display reproduces 1.07 Billion colors that’s 1024 colors per channel, which is 64-times more colors than the 8-bit display lets you enjoy richer & deeper colors on your Mi 11 Lite 5G.
- Reading mode 3.0, 360°ambient light sensors, and Sunlight display 2.0 gives you an immersive viewing experience outside and inside.
- AI Skyscraping 3.0 transforms your gloomy pictures into lively pictures or dynamic videos by changing the landscape with a simple click on the image editor.
- Different AI-enabled video mode like magic zoom, slow shutter, time freeze, parallel world, and freeze frame gives you full freedom to experiment with your videos. The night mode time-lapse feature stitches together night mode photos into a striking 4k video.
- Mi 11 Lite 5G supports Wi-Fi version 6 and gives you low latency in time of sharing, The Bluetooth 5.2 supports new codecs with A2DP and LE.
- The phone comes with dual stereo speakers and the sound quality is good for this price range and supports high-resolution audio for both wired and wireless headphones.
- Other useful features like NFC, Liquid cooling, IP 53 dust, and splash-proof all are included inside.
